About this opportunity

This role will see you providing paralegal and PA support to two of our Sydney Law Partners who specialise in Employment Law, plus their hardworking and cohesive team. They are all welcoming, friendly and value positive, professional working relationships.

You will be part of the broader Support function who are a collaborative and supportive bunch, who have each other’s back, along with being the ‘go-to’ for any professionals requiring assistance in the form of paralegal duties.

A typical day in this role will include:

  • Attending to court to file documents as required and online lodgements
  • Preparing briefs for Counsel and assisting professionals with litigation matters where required
  • Drafting letters, emails and other correspondence for clients
  • Legal research, fact gathering and information retrieval
  • Assisting with case planning, development, and management
  • Administrative support such as formatting documents, CRM management, file administration and liaison with clients
  • Assist in the management of the law partners workload, taking initiative and providing reminders when necessary
  • Diary management and booking meetings with necessary preparations
  • Coordination of invoicing
  • Working with our Operations Team to roll out firm wide change processes

Our ideal candidate will have/be:

  • Minimum of 12 months experience as a paralegal
  • Relevant paralegal qualifications, law degree or currently working towards
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience providing administrative support ideally at a law firm (employment law would be great but any area of law will be considered)
  • Experienced in understanding and using legal terminology, along with an understanding of federal and state rules of legal procedure Australia wide.
  • Exceptional organisational abilities with effective communication skills, both written & verbal
  • Trustworthy and aware of the need for confidentiality
  • Able to work under pressure and thrive in a high-volume environment managing multiple tasks
  • Motivated, solutions oriented, proactive and productive
  • Highly skilled in using Microsoft Suite, strong broader computer and technology skills desirable. Knowledge of Salesforce would be highly desirable
