Adrian Turner

Adrian has a multifaceted role in Citation, serving as the General Manager of Citation HR and Safety, as well as Group General Counsel.

In his General Manager role, Adrian oversees the Customer, Product, and Service Delivery functions of Citation HR and Safety, with responsibility for delivering consistent, high-quality experience for our clients through the alignment of Citation’s people, processes, and technology.

As General Counsel, Adrian has broad involvement in the commercial development/M&A, governance and risk programs of work within the wider Citation Group. Adrian works in an in-house capacity across diverse areas of the law, including:

• Commercial contracts
• M&A transactions
• Corporate governance
• Risk management
• Intellectual Property
• Employment and workplace relations
• Insurance
• Work Health and Safety (WHS)
• Advocacy: Conciliation, Mediation and Litigation
• Sports law

Adrian has a background in employment law, having originally cut his teeth as an employment solicitor within Citation Legal.

Adrian also has a keen interest in Sports Law, having spent a portion of his career as in-house counsel for representative bodies for professional players, including Citation Legal’s long-time client, the Rugby Union Players Association (RUPA), where his role focused on negotiating the collective employment arrangements for players.

In May 2025, Adrian was the recipient of the Lawyers Weekly Corporate Counsel Professional Services Lawyer of the Year Award.
