Senior Associate and Solicitor
Adele is an experienced professional and Senior Associate at Citation Legal. Based in our Sydney office, Adele works closely with clients across a wide range of industries and has particular experience within the retail, sport, health, and recruitment/on-hire industries.
Her areas of experience include:
- Negotiating and drafting enterprise agreements.
- Award and enterprise agreement interpretation.
- Compliance audits.
- Advising and representing clients in unfair dismissal and general protections claims.
- Drafting employment contracts.
- Managing high risk terminations and redundancies.
- Bullying, harassment and discrimination.
- Workplace investigations.
- Facilitating employment relations training.
- Workplace policies and procedures.
In her role at Citation Legal, Adele has been seconded as the Legal Counsel to the Rugby Union Players Association (RUPA), the representative body for professional rugby union players in Australia. Adele’s work with RUPA provided critical support to RUPA and its members with the unique employment law and commercial considerations presented in a professional sporting environment. During this time, Adele played a key role in the negotiation and drafting of the Australian Rugby Collective Bargaining Agreement.
Adele has significant experience in advisory matters and values a strong focus on practical commercial outcomes for clients. Adele is also experienced in representing clients in the Fair Work Commission in employment disputes including unfair dismissal claims, general protections claims and disputes regarding enterprise agreements and bargaining.
Adele was named as a finalist in the Senior Associate – SME Law category at the Lawyers Weekly Women in Law Awards for 2021.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Laws with Bachelor of Commerce (Hons) (Macquarie University).
- Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice.
